What fabrics are used for clothing?

When a very small baby shows up, he does not have the ability to self-regulate his body temperature. This is why we opt for loose clothing and instead favor fabrics made from fibers from plants that breathe, allowing the child not to be too hot or too cold.
In addition, their skin is very fragile and delicate. Just as you choose fragrance-free detergent, you should also carefully select clothing fabrics.
Among the different evolving clothes made at Ticoti Baby, we find clothes made mainly of cotton , bamboo and lyocell (Tencel MD ) fibers. The fabrics chosen are composed of a maximum of 5% elastane (commonly called spandex), a synthetic fiber manufactured in a laboratory which provides elasticity to the fabric.
Cover-up sweater, Comfort evolving pants or Harem pants - the different evolving clothes created by us are loose-fitting and made from the materials below:
Cotton | Bamboo | Lyocell |
Cotton is a plant fiber that comes from the cotton plant. It is a hypoallergenic fiber. Many of the cotton fabrics selected by us are certified organic. Cotton is soft and comfortable thanks to its breathable properties. |
Bamboo is also plant-based. The fiber used is bamboo rayon. Its transformation requires chemicals, but the recommended fabrics are always OEKO-TEK MD certified, which means that the process is safe for humans. Bamboo is a light, thin and VERY comfortable fabric. |
Lyocell also comes from a natural element, mainly eucalyptus wood pulp. The natural material is transformed to create lyocell fiber. It is biodegradable and treated using a non-toxic natural solvent. Lyocell is REALLY soft. It's pleasant to wear. Once adopted, it's difficult to do without it. |
How should clothes be washed to avoid damaging fabrics?
It is recommended to wash clothes at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celcius, this is the famous cold water wash. It is not the most effective for stubborn stains, but it preserves colors, avoids damaging fabrics and allows you to save some electricity.
Garment can be tumble dried on low heat. The best way to preserve your clothes for a long time is to dry them on a dryer.
All fabrics used by Ticoti Baby are pre-washed in cold water and dried on low heat before cutting. The garment is unlikely to shrink during your first wash.
